More deployed facade access solutions that any other provider
Manntech have delivered more than 8000 specialised Building Maintenance Units for buildings all over the world: more than any other provider in the industry.
Why do more people choose Manntech over any other provider for the cleaning, maintenance and preservation of their buildings?
Established in 1953, Manntech has consistently been providing practical, precision engineered and effective building access systems for over 60 years. Since the installation of the first Manntech Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) in 1953 (popularly known as ‘Horse on the Roof’) the Manntech brand has become synonymous with excellence and longevity.
Over the decades, Manntech machines have proven their quality and reliability. Many systems are still in use on rooftops all over the world and, up to 40 years after installation, are still performing all the required maintenance tasks to keep buildings in pristine conditions: an impressive lifespan for any machine. For instance, a 40-year old Manntech Building Maintenance Unit is still in service on a daily basis at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources building in Hannover. Manntech has also been at the forefront of technological innovation throughout their history, rising to every new architectural challenge and pioneering the design, manufacture and installation of many systems that are now commonly deployed.
A project that showcases the high quality and longevity of Manntech products, as well as the team’s ability to engineer and manufacture bespoke access solutions for the most innovative buildings, is the iconic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. At the time of construction, 1998, it was the tallest building in the world. This development remains the world’s tallest twin towers as well as having the world’s highest skybridge. The challenges involved meant developing ground breaking facade access solutions to service both towers while ensuring for the rooftop BMUs could be fully concealed in parked position, as well as designing access solutions able travel the length of the skybridge. These pioneering facade access solutions are still performing well, after 20 years of service. Following a scheduled overhaul after this length of time in use, these machines are expected to provide optimum facade access performance for another 20 years to come.
All these factors have contributed to Manntech being selected time and time again as the most popular choice for building access systems, offering peace of mind to architects, construction companies and building custodians.
