Millennium Tower is a 60-storey, 208 metre skyscraper in Boston, Massachusetts. The luxury high-rise is the tallest residential structure in Boston, and the third tallest building overall, located on the site of the former flagship store for Filene’s in Downtown Crossing. The property features 442 residences, a Roche Bros. grocery, and Class A office space.

The facade access solution Manntech delivered features a track mounted BMU with telescoping mast and jib. The jib also has a luffing range of 0o to 20o and a maximum outreach of 74’ (22.5m). Beyond general maintenance, the BMU also includes a glass handling lift with a capacity of 1500 pounds (680kg).

This highly maneuverable and versatile access solution was required to overcome the architectural challenges of the building, in particular a variable height screen wall.
